We research new architectures and methods for RF transceivers for IoT radios. These radios include components like PLL, PA, LNA, ADC, mixer, baseband filter, etc. This project focusses at developing one of those components: The Power Amplifier.
What you will do
Power amplifiers (PA) are key building blocks for IoT sensor nodes. Modern IoT PAs are very efficient, but do not respond well to distortion on their power supply. Hence, to meet the spectral requirements of the radio regulations, a clean supply is necessary. Creating a clean supply costs power, reducing the system efficiency. This project focusses at inventing a PA architecture which has both a high efficiency and a high tolerance to supply distortion.
