Your focus, as part of the broader Supply Chain & Procurement team, will be to coordinate operational buying activities for the organization, whilst building relations with our broad spectrum of suppliers, establishing a partnership where appropriate terms on service, pricing and supply have been agreed upon.

Teledyne DALSA Professional Imaging is part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated and specializes in high-performance CCD and CMOS image sensors and X-ray detectors. Teledyne DALSA’s image sensors and detectors are used worldwide in the most demanding medical and dental imaging, aerial photography, professional digital still cameras and machine vision applications. It is located in Eindhoven (The Netherlands), Santa Clara (CA, USA) and Waterloo (ONT, Canada). As a part of our growth in this high-technology market, Teledyne DALSA is recruiting for the following opening:

 

 

Initial Purchaser

 

 

Your focus, as part of the broader Supply Chain & Procurement team, will be to coordinate operational buying activities for the organization, whilst building relations with our broad spectrum of suppliers, establishing a partnership where appropriate terms on service, pricing and supply have been agreed upon.

 

 

Other responsibilities include:

  • Processing quotes, Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders
  • Follow up on open PR’s, PO’s and supplier setup requests
  • Manage project material demand within strategic procurement agreements
  • Coordinate buying activities between (internal) sites and teams
  • Setup and Monitor life cycle management with designated suppliers
  • Initiate and negotiate supplier agreements, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations (e.g. ISO/RoHS/Reach)
  • Create PSL for designated commodities or services
  • Setup of SLA’s and appropriate KPI’s to measure performance

     

 

To be successful in this role, we’d expect you to bring:

  • Bachelor level of education, or similar in experience.
  • At minimum 3 years of experience in an operational Buyer role
  • Experience in a fast paced technical work environment
  • Proven skills with MS Excel and ERP Systems
  • Commercial savviness and strong negotiation skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Willingness to travel within Europe (10-20%)

     

    The ideal candidate brings

  • In depth knowledge of ISO9001 & ISO13485
  • Broad experience with supplier negotiations and supplier agreements
  • Lean/Six-Sigma knowledge
