ELAt is the Eindhoven-Leuven-Aachen triangle; a stimulus for and an example of the improvement of the knowledge economy in Europe via cross-border and interregional collaboration. ELAt links up with new processes related to major changes in the production, exchange and use of knowledge, which can be identified within the triple helix model (business world, knowledge institutes and government). The impact of the activities within the ELAt project not only concerns the three urban regions (Eindhoven, Leuven, Aachen) but will also have an impact on the surrounding areas.
